Since TRAI introduced the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) framework, every business sending commercial SMS in India must register on an operator's DLT platform. The aim is simple: reduce spam and give customers more control over the messages they receive.
The three things you register
First, your business entity, using documents such as your PAN and GST or incorporation certificate. Second, your sender ID (also called a header) — the six-character name customers see. Third, every message template, categorised as promotional, transactional or service.
Consent and opt-out are not optional
Promotional messages can only reach numbers that are not on DND for that category, and only within permitted hours. Service messages need explicit or implicit consent depending on the context. Always include a clear way to opt out.
How we help
We guide you through entity, header and template registration, configure your SMS panel or API, and set up delivery reports — so your messages reach customers who want them.
